restriction on import of branded items

Dear sir,
I had read tht Nokia and all has informed customs to restrict importing their brands ,will not then they create problem if the scan it and find it,it may be possible that sandisk might hav also informd about their copy will the custom not catch this duplicacy.there is shortage of these brands of memory cards in Kolkata ,wil the reason it may be.because these brands r avlble in abundance in china.
pls hel and guide in detail.

The Indian Customs allow the imported goods on merit. Nokia & others can not inform customs to restrict importing their brand. Customs do not import. They only facilitate import and exports as per laid down rules.
