02 March 2016 Dear Expert,

One of our clients received a notice u/s 139(9) for filing defective return. What is the time limit to upload the corrected xml in response? What if the notice is not replied within the time limit. Can we upload corrected xml after the given time?

02 March 2016 1)Response to 139(9) has to be submitted with in 15 days from the date of such intimation.
2)Yes, Technically XML can be uploaded after this period(however you may get your time extended meeting AO )
