21 October 2015 Dear Experts,

Can anyone tell me is MGT 14 is required to be filed in case of approval of accounts if date of signing of balance sheet is 25.05.2015? An early reply is needeed.

As per my understanding for approval of accounts now there is no need to file form MGT.14.

MCA notification for Exemption in this regard came in March 2015.

21 July 2025 The MCA notification exempting the filing of MGT-14 for approval of annual accounts for private limited companies came in March 2015.

Specifically:

Notification G.S.R. 247(E) dated March 31, 2015 clarified that private companies are exempted from filing Form MGT-14 for resolutions relating to approval of financial statements.

So, if your balance sheet was signed on 25.05.2015, you are not required to file MGT-14 for its approval in case of a private limited company.
