15 November 2012 In Delhi Application to be submitted to your VATO they will forward to EDP Department he will reset password.

21 July 2025 Hi Manoj,

To reset your password on the Maharashtra VAT (MVAT) website – www.mahavat.gov.in, here's the correct and updated process:

✅ Steps to Reset Password on Mahavat Portal (MVAT)
🔹 If You Forgot Your Password:
Go to the MVAT Login Page.

Click on “Forgot Password?” or “Reset Password” link (typically found below the login form).

Enter your TIN/VAT RC Number or User ID.

An email with a reset link or temporary password will be sent to your registered email ID.

Follow the instructions in the email to create a new password.

🔹 If You No Longer Have Access to Registered Email:
Draft an application on your company letterhead, requesting password reset.

Attach the following:

Copy of TIN/VAT RC certificate

Copy of PAN card

Authorized signatory's ID proof

Submit the application to your Jurisdictional Sales Tax Officer (STO/VATO) or helpdesk.

The officer will forward the request to the EDP Cell, and your password will be reset manually.

You'll receive a new password via updated contact/email.
