whether it is required to have PAN from an employee by the employer even if the Salary is only Rs. 50000/- i.e. below taxable????
otherwise TDS @ 20% will be applicable????

No. If the employee coming under taxable limit only, the PAN requirement

Agreed, If Employee Salary is exceed exemption limit then he has required PAN No. even if his salary is below taxable limit after claiming deduction.
i.e for claiming deduction under chapter VI A, employee should have PAN No.
