Dear All,
I have a question regarding registration under DGFT for getting Import Export Code (IEC).
Does an Educational Institution(Trust) is required to get the IEC for import of Furniture from china?
The trust intends to use the furniture for persnal use and not for any commercial intensions.

YES TRUST IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN IEC,
FOR IMPORT OF FURNITURE, IF TRUST IS INTEND TO IMPORT THE PARTICULAR FURNITURE IN ITS OWN NAME.
