Request to help in tds correction for interest

18 November 2014 Dear Sir,

I received TDS Default for Q2 26Q interest of Rs. 680/-. I didnt pay this interest while i am doing regular statement. Now i download the conso file, then i dont know whether i have to update the previous challan details or i need to add the row and update it in RPU and also about deductee details Annexure I

19 November 2014 First pay the interest amount through a new challan.

After few days the challan will be updated in OLTAS.

Then login to TRACES webiste. Go to challan correction and add challan to the statement. File the correction request.

19 November 2014 It is better to file the online correction. In this case you do not have to generate the fvu file & file the return with a TIN intermediary.
