20 July 2018 An individual has no knowledge of the Income-Tax return-filing procedure.
But, his son does all the administration, calculation, and return-filing procedure,
for his father, with his father’s consent.

Now, In the ITR Form, there is a field which asks :
'' Is this return filed by Representative Assessee ? ''

In the above mentioned case,
What should be selected here ? YES or NO ?

If the son gives his details as Representative for his father’s return-filing,
then,
Will there be any problem to the son, in his own return filing ?

Is it all okay to give the details to I.T. Dept. as Representative of father ?
Or
is there any catch there, and will any of them both, face any trouble in future due to this ??

And,suppose,
if the son's details are given as Representative assessee , then,
Whose name to be written in Declration section ? (I, ______________, DECLARE THAT,............)

What to write in the declaration section in the field of '' IN THE CAPACITY OF _________''......?
And who has to sign the ITR-V ? Father or son ?

Please, help to solve this confusion.

But, in case,
if the father will have any notice or scruitiny in future, then at that time, father will have no any knowledge about what is filed in return and how it is calculated.

At that time,
Will the I.T. Officers allow his son to explain things?

OR, will they argue that,
''they will hear the son, only when the son's details would have been given as representative of his father'' ?
And
'' if the son does all the procedures of return, then,
why did not the father declare his son, as his representative ? ''
'' The field of representative was there in the ITR Form.''

Will the father face problem like this, in such circumstances ??
