Reply to income tax notice u/s 139(9)

11 November 2016 Dear Sir,

I have received notice form Income tax department u/s 139(9) for defective return for A.Y. 2015 16. Income tax department instructed me to login on income tax site choose e file in response to notice u/s 139(9) under the E file menu.

I logged the site but while selecting the said menu the message is displayed as "No record found"

I have received the notice on 30th October 2016

Please guide what can i do to resolve the matter.

11 November 2016 You have to wait till you get option to file 139(9), otherwise contact CPC toll free number.

22 November 2016 Ya...I just solved this case for a client earning commission income and tds deducted thereon.
You have to prepare XML file of Itr incorporating missing items also for which u recd notice of 139(9).
Log in to income tax portal or Computax and upload the XML file and submit.
