dear sir,
i had a client(partnership firm),who had closed his businee hence he did not filed his return for A.Y.2008-09.
IT dept sent notice to him regarding submission of return.
pls send me the legal draftin notice regarding this matter.

closing business also warrant an assessee to inform the ITO. also completion of formalities for the assessment year in which the business has been closed is the duty of assessee.
you have not clarified on which date business was closed and upto which AY, returns have been filed.
Please clarify above facts and meet your tax consultant for further action in the matter.
