15 January 2016 One of my client received intimation for Adjusting Refund Against Outstanding Tax Demand, Section 245. The demand payable as per intimation 143(1) for AY 2013-14. for Rs.11840/- & same
the paid in May-2015 & letter submit to IT Department along with challan. But as per intimation us 245 demand is still shown for AY 2013-14. What can do now? Kindly suggest the same.

15 January 2016 This is very typical of mismatch between CPC and Physical ward.
CPC transfers the cases to physical wards. You can wait till that. Else you can follow up the matter with your Physical ward, stating that the said demand has already been paid in May 2015 and there is no reason for compounding of demand of whatsoever.

05 September 2016 Alternatively, please raise a grievance under e-sahayog option in the income tax portal. This will help speed up things. The category selected should be CPC-ITR
