19 March 2014 Whether Immovable property given on rent to Food Corporation of India (Govt.) liable to service tax?
The above immovable property is not a vacant land.

19 March 2014 Yes prima facie it is commercial property given on rent and hence liable to Service tax, But if the total rent from commercial properties received by you is less than 10 lakhs a year, u can claim exemption as a Small service provider.
However if it is storage of Agricultural produce there is a general exemption under the MEGA exemption circular 25/2012
