21 January 2012 Quantum of Rent will decide the implications of Service Tax and TDS.
Any Person (not being individual or a HUF)responsible for paying Rent to a Resident is required to deduct TDS u/s 194I.

Please mention ur status and the Quantum of Rent so that the Query can be resolved
