Removal of excisable fg to private godown for storage purpos

19 June 2013 Dear Sir,

We want to shift our FG Goods to other private godown within 1 km from Manufacturing Plant we have taken for rent and made agrrement in the name of company. Because of non available of space to store RM in plant.Now please tell me under which central excise Rules / notification we can remove our goods to Godown without payment of duty for storage purpose only.

19 June 2013 The commissioner can permit storage of goods in any other premises outside the factory without payment of duty. Commissioner can specify conditions while giving such permission under rule 4(4) of CE Rules 2002.

19 June 2013 Dear Sir,

I have personally contacted AC but he is refusing to Give permission. He told he will not give permission.

We are just want to store FG item only because of insufficient space to put RM in same storage place. After utilization of RM once again we will inward the same materials to stores which were in Godown. We need just for time period permission to store FG. How to tell them

19 June 2013 If they are not giving the permission for storage of goods without payment of duty outside the factory then you can stored the goods outside factory premises with payment of duty.
