what reason about sensex point going up and down.

the reason is there are atleast 100-500 best companies called fortune 500 types co.whose shares are evryday traded on recognised stock market.
this shares undergo changes in price upwards or downwards due to many external market and internal factors whihc result in change in prices.
when you consolidate all the companies price change they form change in index which is nothing but the sensex like bse.
