31 August 2013 I AM FORGET MY E-FILING PASSWORD & SECRET QUESTION. I SENT MAIL TO DEPARTMENT ON validate@incometaxindia.gov.in BUT THERE IS NO REPLY OF MAIL. NOW HOW CAN RECOVER MY E-FILING PASSWORD?

31 August 2013 If the details regarding your PAN send by you matched with the Departments data base then system automatically creates a new password and send it to the registered email ID. Otherwise i.e if details not matched then it keeps quite and don't respond and reply to you.

So first confirm the details you send is as per the IT department or not. The requiring details to mail is as follows

Note : If you're not able to reset the password with any of the three options above, please send an email to - validate@incometaxindia.gov.in with the following details

PAN
PAN holder's Name
Date of Birth / Date of Incorporation
Father's Name
Registered PAN address

On successful validation, the password will be sent to your Registered Email.

31 August 2013 If you have e-filed return earlier. Then use 'e-filing acknowledgement number' option to reset the password.

After validating it will show you an e-mail id. If the e-mail id is correct then proceed otherwise enter a new e-mail id.

Password will be sent to the new e-mail id.
