10 November 2012 Dear Sir we wish to start merchant export , we are two partners. pls tell the procedures ? first we have to register the firm or we can directly take IEC code without registring the company.? What are normal expanses for registring a company and getting IEC code. whom we should approach for this? Thanks in advance

12 November 2012 01. Better if you register the firm first and then go for IEC code.
02. IEC code is given by the Commissioneer of import ecport. Normally appointed Districtwise.
