Dear Professional,
One of my client for which i have been appointed as auditor has taken service tax number after a sale of 20 Lakhs. whether i should give remarks in balance sheet and issue qualified report or resign from auditorship? If anyone have similar experience please share.

Hi,
Can you please whether it is sale or services, because as you know service tax is applicable only on services provided.
Assuming as Services,find it out, whether your client as collected any tax before reg.and the same has been deposited with govt,if not report it.
