15 April 2020 I want to register my proprietorship firm on ICEGATE website in order to simplify my import custom clearance procedures. I realized I need to register as an IEC holder, and one of the documents in the registration is the Scanned copy of the License/Permit.

Do I need to take a permit/license from customs in order to complete the ICEGATE registration?

23 April 2020 No, you can upload canceled cheque of your current account and bank letter, Address proof is sufficient to register IEC, no need approval of customs for apply IEC online
