03 May 2011 WE have some commercial properties which is in the name of our director, if we want to transfer the said properties to a private trust does the registration under the service tax act necessary for the trust ( as the commercial rent of immovable property comes under the ambit of service tax).

KIndly guide me.

20 May 2011 To transfer the owner-ship of the property is nothing to do with Service Tax . It has to be registered with The Registrar of Assurances,and appropriate Stamp Duty will be attreacted on the transaction.
