Regarding transfer in articleship after 1 year

18 July 2014 sir, my home is currently shifted from here and my new residence is about 60 km far away from current office.we sold that house because of some finanicial conditions and now i cann't afford to stay here. i have completed 1 year and 11 months of articleship.can i get transfer on this bases.i can provide my current residence'sell deed and also my ca agree to give me transfer. can i take transfer on this basis and what time it would take to get consent of icai. please reply fast

18 July 2014 yes it is allowed provided u give all the proof of new house and icai on plain paper application permits you.

18 July 2014 the transfer is based on the change of parent's job and not on change of residence. nevertheless, you can still apply. it shall be within discretionary powers of ICAI president to grant transfer.
