This discussion clarifies the rules around filing TDS return 27Q for Non-Resident Indian (NRI) property transactions. It confirms that you must wait until the end of the quarter in which the TDS was paid before filing the return. Filing before the quarter ends is not legally permissible, even if a TAN was obtained solely for NRI TDS deductions and subsequently surrendered.

You should wait until the quarter ends and then file the Form 27Q for that quarter. No filing before quarter end is possible or legally allowed.
