Regarding tax e filing

07 March 2019 Sir ,I've received ITR refund of Rs 2900/- in FY 2018-19(without any interest) and some cash gift(aprx 40000/-) from mother through cheque in June 2018(FY 2018-19).How to these to be shown in ITR-4 while e-filing of itr in FY 2019(AY 2019-20)?Are these income be taxable?Please help sir.Thanks in advance.

07 March 2019 * If interest is received for IT refund, that interest is income to be shown in ITR under 'Income from other sources'.
Tax portion of the refund is tax free and need not show in ITR.

* Gift from mother is tax.free,need not show in ITR.

27 March 2019 Sir,further I want to know that these amount (income tax refund and cash gift amount)are to be shown as exempt income or not?Because balance sheet to be filled up in online ITR-4 filing.
