regarding stipend

can I claim stipend to my principal?
I have taken transfer from above mention firm.i have completed 1 year articleship under such principal. he paid me rs 14000 only but my stipend according rule is 24000.

Dear Prashant,
Yes u can claim your stipend and if he is not paying you then u can write a letter to icai seeking non payment of stipend.

If your principal has failed to discharge his duties by not paying the stipulated amount as enshrined in the Rule book, then you have every right to write a letter to ICAI with the copy of bank statements attached mentioning the stipend amount credited thus far as against the amount he ought to be crediting.
