10 September 2012 Dear Sir,
i have an assessee who is providing Construction of Res. Complex service. In that he also paying transport charges for the goods he is bringing. So, my question is whether he is liable for service tax or not as per reverse charge mechnaism.

11 September 2012 I understand that question is about applicability of RCM against the transportation charges paid. The RCM against transportation service provided by a GTA or in otherwords a consignment not is issued. If no consignment note is issued it becomes a transportation on Door-to-door basis which is a courier service and RCM is not applicable on courier service

11 September 2012 thnx sir for your prompt reply...but i want to know whether the assessee who is providing Construction Services is liable to pay service tax on the goods transported by him????
