Regarding re-registration of articleship

26 June 2013 I HAVE OPTED FOR TRANSFER OF MY ARTICLESHIP WITH A NEW PRINCIPAL ON 28 FEB 2013 AND JOINNED THE OFFICE ON 1ST MARCH 2013 UNDER NEW PRINCIPAL. BUT RECENTLY I WS INFORMED FROM ICAI HAT THE NEW PRINCIPAL IS AN INACTIVE MEMBER DUE TO NON PAYMENT OF MEMBERSHIP FEE. WHAT EFFECTS IT WILL CAUSE TO ME REGARDING MY ARTICLESHIP AND ATTEMPT TO APPEAR AT THE FINAL EXAMS. IT IS ALREADY 4 MONTHS I HAVE JOINNED THE NEW PRINCIPAL.

26 June 2013 1)you need to take article ship with a CA who is in practice and his member ship status should be Active..

You may see his membership status as below

2)First take this to your boss notice and ask him to make payment for his membership fees

3)You need to contact nearest regional branch of icai to know reliable information on how it will effects your articleship..

the chances are

1)you are not eligible to register under him and so you need to register with some other person
or
2)your article ship registration will be resumed after once he paid his membership fee

It is highly recommended you to contact nearest icai branch so that you can come to know about best course of action from your part
