What documents should be obtained to file his ITR as Autorized Representative in India
he is resident of US

File ITR in his name using his PAN number.

Yes, take all the documents which are generally taken from a resident for filing the ITR - PAN, address, Bank Stmnts in India, Property documents etc.

Basically my question is I have to file the return as representative on his behalf not having his aadhar card till date being NRI
Whether there is any Power of Attorney or any other documents required or just formal consent by email will suffice the requirement to file the return

For NRI filing aadhar card not required
Take E mail confirmation and file ITR as if he is filing.
