Regarding Demand raised by the Department

31 July 2024 Dear Sir,

With respect to above mentioned subject line would like to let you know that I had furnished an Updated ITR for an Assessee with the payment required for submitting an Updated ITR. While, initiating payment I was not allowed by the system to submit the details in Self-Assessment Tab i.e. in Schedule IT while preparing for uploading the Return so I mentioned the payments made u/s 140B Tab. Now, I'm getting demand from Income Tax Department, kindly advice.

As per your instructions I had replied with the Notice to Outstanding Demand but still I'm getting the Amount Payable Outstanding Demand, kindly advice.

11 August 2024 No need to worry, it will take some time to adjust the demand.
Keep quiet till the next year filing.

23 June 2025 Sir,

As per our discussion earlier, I'm waiting for the Income Tax Department to adjust the payment made towards Updated Income Tax Return but still I'm getting the Outstanding Demand along with Interest Calculation, kindly advice. I'm about to furnish the Income Tax Return for A.Y. 2025-26, awaiting for your kind response.
