Dear Sir,
I have Filled my relative Return online but due to my mistake in return i forget to change the gender instead of Female it was submitted as male and now i got the intimation from income tax dept u/s 143(1) showing the demand of income tax but as per slab i am below taxable limit and this all is because of mistake in gender now i want to make it correct so please let me know the procedure for its change and avoid the tax liability.

You may file the rectification request from the e-filing website.

Please generate a new XML file from the old one , by rectifying the Gender as female and upload the same on the site.

Choose change assessee data correction option there and may write in brief about change in gender.
