27 March 2012 one of my friend sent the acknowledgement ITR V BY COURIER. is is acceptable or He has to send it again by speed post?

27 March 2012 It is clearly written on the ITR-V that the signed copy should be sent by post ordinary or speed...
I think send by courier may not be accepted..

Better wait for some days to get updated into your account the status of ITR-V recipt at CPC and see what is the status shown..if time is left yet..

Otherwise it is advisable to re-send by post without delay...

28 March 2012 Send once again through Speed Post or Ordinary Post. In our experience, CPC will not accept the courier.

01 April 2012 Guys,

Imagine CPC sending lakhs of acknowledgements for courier receipts. Logistically impossible. Speedpost and Ordinary post are the only modes for ITR V receipt. If you are in Bangalore, there is a drop box in the CPC premises.
