02 January 2016 I have provided with a 9 digit number as FCRN of the holding company. Form MGT-7 does not accept this as a valid FCRN. Kindly suggest.

04 January 2016 Sir, Actually the Company is an Indian Company and it is a subsidiary of a foreign company. While filling Form MGT-7 of an Indian Company it is asking for CIN/ FCRN of its Holding company. Since its holding company is a Foreign company I think we have to provide FCRN number. This Indian company provide us a 9 digit registration number(unique identification number) as the registration number of its Holding company. But the Form MGT-7 does not accept this 9 digit number as FCRN, getting an error message as "enter a valid CIN/FCRN". Is there any format for FCRN number like CIN which starts with U and contains year of incorporation state code ect, Kindly suggest.

04 January 2016 Kindly note fcrn is not a mandatory field in help it is also provided that mention fcrn if available.
