Refusal to give the original documents by a firm.

09 August 2012 Hello,

Sir, I got selected for articleship in a firm where they took all my original documents and gave me the date of joining after a week. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, i could not join their firm and i did not sign any document regarding the joining in that firm and also i am not registered there. But they are refusing to give me my original documents. I've spoken to them again and again but they are not willing to give me those. I have to shift to another state, and their staff is not co-operating. Can you please tell me what should i do about it?

It is really important sir. Please reply as soon as possible.

09 August 2012 If you are shifting to Maharashtra, Karnataka write a mail to me amolshankar@gmail.com I can direct you to articleship. From the other side of the table, you are not disclosing the facts in your query. Person of ordinary prudence may not be interested in your original papers unless you have created some commercial interest in it. Anyway, you can always contact the decentralised / centralised office of ICAI for complaint.
