Refund to customer - without service tax

25 July 2013 Actually I got the payment with service tax from customer, and i have paid the service tax amount to dept. now they are asking refund for cancellation.
so can i make the refund to customer with or without service tax.
kindly do the needful.

25 July 2013 Since you have already paid service tax to the Deptt, you may refund the payment to the customer without Service tax.

at the same time, another customer booking for the same, which is refund to without service tax. now can i make the receipt for without or with service tax to another customer. because already we have paid to dept which is collected from refundable customer.

25 July 2013 Advisable not to make things complicated for yourself.

For a new customer, accept service tax separately and pay for him separately.

For the one who cancelled, let him bear the burden of service tax. That too, because you have paid it to the deptt.

26 July 2013 Sir,
MR.A is booking for the flat 1, and he was paid the booking amount with service tax in may'13, and i have paid the service tax amount to dept. and he is cancelled the booking of flat 1, and i returned the amount to Mr.A without service tax.

Now Mr.B is booking for the flat 1, which is booked by Mr.A,

Now i want to collect the booking amount from this customer means, what to do?

shall i make the receipt with service tax or without service tax
