11 December 2012 An Assessee claimed refund for A.Y. 2007-08. However the Refund is not received yet by the Assessee but on NSDL site it is showing that "Refund cheque has already been encashed" on 3rd July 2007. How to resolve such a matter and how to proceed further to get the Refund.

11 December 2012 Ask for the information as to which bank account the refund is deposited. You can then verify if the proceeds of refund are credited in this bank account. (RTI may be made use of if needed)

11 December 2012 How do we come to know in which bank the cheque is deposited. Is there any need to meet the Assessing officer or can it be resolved online???
