Refund of excise duty

we are sez units, we have imported a good on which paid duty. And we can't get the benifit of MODVAT so now i want to know can we get refund against such duty....pls reply as soon as possible...

Supply to SEZ is physical export, hence no need tp send material on payment of duty. Material can be sent on ARE-1, under bond. Alternatively, duty can be paid on ARE-1 and the duty paid can be claimed as rebate. Further alternatively, refund can also be taken under Rule 5 of the Cenvat Credit Rules.

we are excise free unit (SEZ)..if we import some raw material on which we paid some excise duty...after that we made the final product by the using of that raw material and when the final product has been made we further sale that final product in domestic market on which we charged sales tax..Now i want to know that can we get any refund of excise duty paid on import of raw material...
I looked at everywhere for this but everywhere i got if we sale it as export sale then we can claim it.

SEZ can import of goods without payment of duty after that if they import of goods with payment of duty then can't claim the refund of duty.
