Rectification u/s 154

We file IT Return of Mr. X whose DOB is xx/xx/1946, so our software consider him as senior citizen but in Intimation IT Department Doesn't consider him as senior citizen, and also some tax credit of TDS is not consider by IT Department. So the Quary is that if we file rectification U/s 154 then both the points will get consider or not by IT Department or we need to go ITO? Please suggest.
