Rectification is processed with no demand and refund Updated return is still not processed Can we file appeal for discarding of Updated return. Rectification is filed prior to updated return

Appeal can only be filed once the return gets processed. Now no action possible from your end.

As per previous communication if updated return becomes invalid rectification filed prior to updated return which is processed now will be valid Is there any necessity to file appeal if there is invalidation of updated return. I am Salried tax payer with TDS reflecting in 26AS. Still updated return is not yet processed As per telephonic conversation with CPC Bangalore they said they will consider only last return which was updated return

Yes, that is true , but you cannot withdraw it or cancel it now.

If CPC does not consider rectification then filing appeal is last option or Should a leave this pertains to AY2023-2024. I am Salaried Taxpayer with TDS reflecting in 26AS

You must leave it, at least till it gets processed.

Thank you Sir for your Guidance. I will not file appeal and leave and not do anything even if updated return becomesinvalid As it further complex the procedure
