12 September 2011 my query not resolved yet. My question is when we should recognise export incentives in books of account.

12 September 2011 It depends on terms & conditions of incentives. For example, in case of VKUY & DEPB benefits, exporter become eligible for incentives when he actually exports the goods. In that case you can make the provision on the basis of monthly export turnover.

In case of import - freight incentive, the criteria for incentives is based on export turnover of the year. Hence, you can make a provision at the end of the year in which the export taken place.
