I, Mrs.Rupal D Hemani have an education center(Franchisee)name M/s Krish eGurukool in Vashi where in the propeietor was an HUF. These business is taken over by me from an HUF w.e.f 1/4/2010 but the name of the center is the same. My querry is that I have a TAN in the name of M/sKrish eGurukool,Vashi but the proprietor is HUF.Now should I apply for a new TAN in an individual name or the firm name or should I apply for the change in the name/amendments in the ownership etc? please guide.

Yes, you should apply for new TAN, as old one was in the name of firm which in turn belongs to HUF. You can apply for TAN in your own name and can specify yourself as a proprietor of M/s Krish eGurukool in application form.
