19 July 2017 what is the format for issuing invoice under RCM. should i mention the details of supplier from whom i purchase the goods in that invoice.

19 July 2017 No invoice under RCM is required to be issued by purchaser. The bill issued by URD is enough. Fill the details in the GSTRN.

19 July 2017 There is no requirement to issue invoice for notified RCM cases. However, in case of purchase from unregistered person RCM gets attracted. In that case you need to issue invoice. Basically issuing invoice means you need to provide details in GST Returns.

19 July 2017 Invoice in case of reverse charge

As per section 31(3)(f), person discharging GST liability under reverse charge under section 9(3) or 9(4) shall issue an invoice in respect of goods or services or both received by him from the supplier. Further as per 31(3) (g) shall issue a payment voucher at the time of making payment to the supplier.

Use same tax invoice format and mention name of supplier.
