2. Your CV becomes more attractive.

3. You get exposure to bigger or more intricate transactions to deal with

4. In small firms you get to deal with micro issues. it helps in improving your grip over fundamentals.

5. If you want to start practice, join a small firm.

6. if you want to join industry or a BIG 4 at a later stage, then join a BIG 4.

23 September 2013 Fundamentals means the concepts. In BIG4, you often get ready-made answers to clients' queries because of the knowledge banks they have.

However, in small size firms you actually do the first hand research due to limited resources available. this helps you getting a better grip on the subjects and make you a better advisor.

I spent 2 years in BIG 4 but rarely did the thorough research.

24 September 2013 Depends on what you want? If u want to join industry or big consultancy firms, join big4. If u want your own practice, small firm would be a good idea.
