I want to know the rate of service tax on web site development as I am in this profession on line. What is the maximum exemption limit in this profession. What is the fee for obtaining the service tax no.

02 October 2009 The Rate of s.Tax is at present @10.30%

Maximum Exemption limit is 10.00 lacs in a financiasl year.

You have to take regn. when your turnover croses 9.00 lacs.

there is no fees for obtaining regn. You have to apply your juridictional s.tax division.
