Rate of excise for note books

what is the rate of excise on note books sale in domestic???

Note books and exercise books will be fall under chapter heading 4820 and duty is 2% without cenvat facility.

Arun can you complete the chain
1. chapter 20 was exempted by excise duty vide S. No. 22 of Notification No. 3/2006
2. The exemption is being withdrawn as S. No. 22 of Notification No. 3/2006 – C.E dated 1st March, 2006, is
being omitted by Notification No. 3 /2011-C.E dated the 1st March 2011.
and rate was 5%
but i did not find further notification trail to being duty rate 2%
Please complete.

Dear Kapil Ji,
Exemption from central excise duty withdrawn vide notification no. 1/2011 Dated 1.3.2011 from SL. No. 68 chapter 4820 (note books and Exercise books) rate of duty was 1%. Rate of interest has been increase from 1% to 2% vide notification No. 16/2012 dated 17.3.2012.
