23 June 2011 In case of Board Meeting, if the Quorum is not Present than the meeting shall stands adjourned. what if at the Adjourned Meeting also the quorum is not Present?

24 June 2011 Section 287 of the companies act,1956 is silent about quorum in the adjourned meeting, hence it may be presumed that an adjourned board meeting without proper quorum is not valid and has to be further adjourned till a proper quorum is formed.

24 June 2011 in my knowledge

if at such adjourned meeting the quorum be not present within half an hour from the time appointed for the meeting, those members who are present shall be quorum and may transact the business for which the meeting was called.

24 June 2011 There are opposite replies. Does any one have any case law regarding the same?

17 January 2012 Adjoured board meeting should have quorum.
