22 October 2010 If only one member present in the adjourn EGM then what will be the status of the meeting. Whether meeting will be dissolved.

It can be further adjourned as mentioned by Expert.

However, there is one exception mentioned u/s 174(3), where the meeting stands dissolved.

Kindly go through section 174(3).

22 October 2010 Dear All,

Mr.Jain has already mentioned that the meeting, in question, was an adjourned meeting.

In an adjourned meeting if within half an hours required quram is not present then the members present shall be treated as quoram( unless the articles of the company otherwise provides). Please see Sec.174(5).

23 October 2010 If the adjourn meeting is further adjourned due to the want of quorum then who has the authority to fix the date and time of the further adjourn meeting. Whether it will be adjourned for the seven days.
