Please help me in clearing the concept in regard to matter of Transporter payment:

1. What is the Max. Cash Payment Limit?
2. Is there any threesold limit for it?
3. When TDS liability on Transporter payment
arise & how to avoid it?

4. When Service Tax need to pay on payment to transporter freight?

24 April 2013 1. RS. 30000/- IN A DAY
2. 30000/- IN A DAY
3. IN TPT HAVE NO PAN THEN 20% OTHER NO TDS
4. YES ON FREIGHT 3.09% (25% OF 12.36)

24 April 2013 for answer 1 & 2 its 35000 not 30000,
for ans. 4.
when the person who pays the freight is registered as
factories act, any society, co-operative society, central excise act, body corporate, and AOP or partnership firm whether registered or not
