03 December 2017
I completed my articleship on 16th oct 2017 and filled form 108 on the same day declaring leave of 160 days. On 21st November 2017, i received a letter from the Institute which said that i am required to get re registered for the excess leave period of 4 days and also submit form 108 for the said period for noting completion of articleship. Further when i had filled my exam form, i selected the option which said that my articleship with excess leaves will be completed on or before 31st oct 2017. Please advice as to whether i should fill form 107 or form 103.

Regarding your query on termination and completion of articleship with excess leave days:
Since you have already completed your articleship on 16th Oct 2017 and declared 160 days of leave, but the Institute is asking you to regularize excess leave of 4 days, you need to get the excess leave regularized. For this purpose: Form 107 is used for registration of excess leave (i.e., for approval to count excess leave). Form 103 is used for termination of articleship or cancellation. Since your articleship is already completed and you only need to regularize the excess leave period, you should fill Form 107 to get approval for the excess leave period.
After the approval of Form 107, you may need to submit Form 108 again to note the completion properly.
Summary:
Use Form 107 to regularize excess leave. Do not use Form 103 unless you are terminating the articleship prematurely.
