query regarding rs 1000 and rs500 deposited in bank a/c

One of my relative's son is working abroad since from 2012 and he is regular in filing IT return year by year...and his balance sheet of march2016 showing "Cash in hand" of around 8-9 lacs.
Whether he can deposits these money without any problem of notices from IT dept.
and similarly his brother also working in india with same condition.

There is no issue if u can justify urself regarding cash deposit. So if there is favourable cash in hand then there is no problem in deposit(exchange) of any sum to bank.
