09 August 2018 One of my clients is running a grocery (kirana) shop. according to the old business codes it was retailers. but now as the business codes has changed, kindly tell me which code would be the most appropriate one.

Retail sale in non-specialized stores 09023

or

Retail sale of other products n.e.c 09028

I wanna ask that here,

1.What do we mean by specialized or non-specialized stores

2. what is meant by this n.e.c

28 September 2021 1. In your case the applicable code is '09028'
2. Bata, Dmart, chain of stores with single name like Apnabazar etc. are considered as specialized stores.
3. n.e.c. .... means 'Not Elsewhere Classified."
