Query regarding Form 23ACA - Other Expenditure

Can I treat the following Expenditure - Account Heads as 'Other Expenditure' in the Form 23ACA :

Clinical Consumables
Duty Doctors's Professional Fee
Minimum Retention Fee
Lab Charges
Bank Charges
Clinic Maintenance
Share of Clinic Income paid
Printing & Stationeries
Advertisement Expenses
Preliminary Expenses Written Off

I shall wait for your views / guidance on the above matter.

24 February 2010 For purpose of Form 23ACA, yes u can treat all above exp as Other Expenditure except PRELIMINARY exp as there is seperate field under heading "Depreciation & Amortisation" above other expenditure.

24 February 2010 There is no doubt. All the expenses mentioned above can be treated in other exp for the purpose of form 23ACA.

I now develop a doubt on your reply.

You mentioned to fill the 'Preliminary Exp. W/o' in the field 'Depreciation & Amortisation' in Form 23ACA.

Suppose, if we mention in the said field in Form 23ACA, then the amount mentioned in the field 'Less : Depreciation & Amortisation' in Form 23AC will be different.

Will this be acceptable ?

After reading my doubt, I may expect you to confirm once again.

25 February 2010 In 23AC we need to state Capital items hence under heading 'Depreciation & Amortisation' amortisation ONLY RELATED TO FIXED ASSESTES will be included.

As in P/L we state preliminary Exp or Misc Exp which are not related to Fixed Assests hence we will not include in the 23AC field.

Amortisation means written off hence it is advisable to state preliminary exp under caption 'Dep & Amor'
